The Black Tusk Snowmobile Club (BTSC) was founded in 1971 in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada on the heels of a failed ski development. Soon after, The BTSC negotiated it's tenure on Brohm Ridge, North of Squamish at approximately 5100 ft above sea level on the rim of an ancient volcano.
Brohm Ridge offers a wide variety of terrain: large bowls for hill climbing, challenging creek & treed routes, breathtaking peaks, endless powder, and amazing meadows & groomed trails for novice riders & children.
We have 2 buildings; The Chalet (sleeps 40 plus) and The Clubhouse (sleeps 14). The club currently hosts an Alpine Learning Center for avalanche training. Our facilities are also perfect for organized special events, weddings, fundraisers and more!
The BTSC is a non-profit organization that is about friends, fun & sleddin', safety in our sport, environmental stewardship and community involvement. We hope you find our website informative and invite you to contact any of the executive members (contact us) with any questions or suggestions.
You can also visit our Facebook & Instagram pages for the latest updates on trail conditions, grooming operations, event information, photos and much more!
** A Very BIG 'Thank You' to Mavis Decker of Campell River for helping us fill in the gaps on some of the history of the club.
To all, if you see/find additional information about the history of the club that we should add to this 'History' page, please contact us.
Steve Donnelly - President of the Club & Senior Snowcat Operator. In the past, Steve has also served as our Safety Director and been instrumental in planning & hosting our annual AST courses.
